Until you can get it cleared, you could rig the eml light to come on with the the oil warning light.

At least that way, it appears to go on/off as normal, until you can get it sorted.

OK i've had another play with my code reader and managed to get a code. The code that's come up is p1404. From a little research this points to the EGR or the MAF can someone please confirm this

I've just given the MAF a little clean with carb cleaner. I am going to get a Pierburg MAF Sensor in a few weeks and blanking of the EGR also.

didnt think the MAF sensor puts the light on.

less its really dead, I suppose, just that its never been mentioned at the same time.

Does the car run OK, pulls in the gears and red lines??

Yes runs ok and pulls to red. So i'm guessing MAF is ok?

1404 seems to point more towards an egr fault.
