Sorry to drag up an old thread.

I love my 180 but need something bigger

I really want to get a ZT-T 1.8t, but there are a few things that need doing to my car first.

Fit heated seat pad to drivers seat (passenger side already fitted)

Get heated seats to work - switch illuminates but no heat - relay possibly?

Top up power steering fluid - pump whines when engine is cold.

Fix thermostat housing - kit from dmgrs. Does the inlet manifold need to be removed?

Engine service - got the filters etc, just got to get around to changing them.

Fan speed 1 doesnt work - resistors maybe, but usually 1 & 2 go.

AC doesnt work - needs topping up, but the fan doesnt kick in when i switch the AC button on - relay or fan buggered??

Any advice regarding the above?
Cheers

See if you can replace all the PAS fluid, it should be pink but I bet it's black.

Are you getting power at the plugs under the seats?
Did you fit the relays?
Do they click when you press the switches?
What about fuses?

The blower resistors fail on 1 first.
The one in my MGF is currently like this.
They can also fail on 1, 2 and 3, happened on my first ZS.

The A/C fan will not work if there is no gas.
Nothing in the system will work if the pressure switch isn't seeing gas.

I managed to replace the thermostat by removing the throttle body but it is fiddly and my hands are quite small.

I'll be able to check the fuse box and heater resistors soon because I'll be replacing the pollen filter. The heaters packed up on my 120, i bought the kit from dmgrs and soldered it myself. Need to dig out the soldering iron.

Not checked the colour of the PAS fluid.
Is there a way to drain the old fluid?
