Talking Freshening up wheels.

As my wheels have been gradually looking worse for wear over the past few months to a year (although never were the greatest) I thought it was about time to give them a slight re vamp, even if not a professional finish at least it's tidier than before.

Before any work, one of the best wheels :

Colour I decided on

The back up harpin, (only doing one wheel at a time to keep car mobile if needed)

Then the spraying begins :

Then back on the car.

I'm quite pleased for a morning with 2 cans of spray and minimum prep on the wheels but it doesn't look to bad imo.
Any opinions are appreciated.

Nice work !

I did similar on a set of keis I bought which were pretty mashed up. Just a rub down and spray, but the "I did that" feeling was good.

Colour-wise, I must admit to liking dark wheels on a light coloured car and vice-versa ..... Good job though mate.

Cheers Dan, I know what your saying. Even though not a professional finish it gave me the satisfaction of knowing I'd done it myself.

I wasn't sure which way to go, dark or light as the light colours I like are either xpower green or the orange you get on the Porsche gt3rs's.
Wasn't sure how they'd look tbh.
At different angles though the amethyst does look light from an angle but dark face on. Looks nice to me, thanks for your view buddy ;0)

Thanks Daytona, to be honest though up close it's only 2 that do look good the other 2 have imperfections but at the end of the day, can always re do them.

Indeed it is a good feeling

Cheers. After I sprayed mine I thought of your wheels, when on the car they did look very similar. The weekend I bought mine a few years ago I saw a saloon & my hatch in the same colour which I thought was strange as was rare. Only reason didn't walk away with the saloon was the quality of the car, was not a cared for example and with next to no history & a few suspicious knocks I went for the better off hatch.

I do like the saloon in Tahiti blue though

Looking good, I sprayed my ones Silver Sparkle, just to hide some of the damage.

I have noticed that the colour has changed, now looks darker.

Was wondering if you have to put a clear lacquer top coat over the resprayed bits???
