I'm pretty sure 2 need seals replacing, although if it was me I'd replace all seals and perhaps powder coat them.

I wouldn't powder coat them, the paint would be too thick, don't forget you will need to rotate the spring platforms and they are screwcut into the body of the shock unit. I spent a good week cleaning them up and freeing the platforms off and cleaning the threads up, made a right mess of my garage! I also bought new boots from AVO.

Only one was weeping, I compared all four units and there wasn't any significant difference so have left it until such time I would send them all away. It'll be an AVO job to do as they would require special tooling to open to minimise damage, I doubt if they would sell spares kits.

MG6Turbo is on a distinguished road
Personally, unless these are going to be used for a trackday car where it isnt subject to bad weather and road conditions, i wouldnt bother on a everyday road car. Std suspension is so up to the job for everyday conditions.

Any coilover kit, will require to be inspected and cleaned on a weekly basis just so that they carry on performing correctly.

Indeed G, doesn't take long for the threads to get caked in crap. Mine's up on all fours this Friday for a good clean so I can adjust them for Goodwood this Sat.

Given that the ZS is described as being set up to be one of the best handling FWD cars out there, what do the coilovers do to the handling? Its not like Ive experienced much body roll, and the ride is...firm enough for my liking.

ps apologies for crapping up your For Sale thread, shall I take my question to its own topic?
