Don't tell them anything. If you respond they'll hassle you more. Just ignore there threatening meters. They WILL go away and will not take you to court. no matter what they threaten you with

Reminds me of my housemate in the first year getting clamped every week. Until he got an old landy and the clamps were replaced with a note saying "Please come and volunteer to pay parking fines, we can't get the clamp over your wheels".

I love my old series 2a for that sort of reason shame its off the road at the moment...
