Thinking of moving on. Whats it worth?

After 6 years we are thinking of selling the ZS, possibly looking at an Alfa 159...
Its a 2005 '54' plate ZS+ TD in Ignition Blue. Has been a lovely car over the year but with 2 kids I am finding it a bit cramped now and fancying a change.

In the 6 years we have had the car it has been looked after and I have put lots of hours into her.

Work I can remember of hand:

Belt done around 50K in 2010
Front suspension was completely poly bushed in 2012 @67k,
New tires on 17" straights in 04/14 @ 88.5k
Filters, oil, Rear wheel bearings, rear brakes and SDI injectors fitted 04/14 @88.6k
front brakes in 05/14 @89.8k
cat back standar eshaust in 07/14 @ 91.2k
engine oil filter, oil and fuel filter changed in 10/14 @ 93.2k
New battery in 02/15 @ 94.2k
oil and filters in 04/15 @95k
remapped by Dakta in 04/15 @ 95.6k
A/C regassed 08/15 @ 95.k
oil, filters and coolant replaced in 08/15 @ 100.5k

There is probably more but i'll have to dig out the folder to look.

The SDI's had about 40k on them before being fitted.

i also replaced the door handles with R45 chrome ones but the back driver door handle has broken on the one pin and isn't colour coded.

i just wondered what sort of interest this would get and what sort of price you guys think it would command?

its not for sale yet, as the discussion of a new car only came up on Sunday, so this is just thoughts.

Big fan of Alfa Romeo myself, having owned 155's and 156's in the past. I too looked at 159's about a year ago, they're nice cars although some of the early ones seem to be suffering with corrosion of the front subframe. I'm not sure if the later V6 has as much character as the earlier Busso 24v V6 which was fitted to the 147, 156 and GT but there is a good engine line-up to choose from.

I'm waiting for the new Giulia range to be released this year before I decide to sell - it's a cracking looking car especially in QV form, but that one will be well out of my budget!

Cheers guys. I don't have any recent pictures, but I'll have a dig around and see what I got.

Still in the do we, don't we phase at the moment. There was an alfa we fancied but think it'll fall through as it's apparently not in the UK.

the 159 is a superb car, certainly in Ti spec, double wishbone all round.

It has its issues, the biggest issue is the use of the chocolate vauxhall M32 gearbox, if it has the M32 box, avoid.

The f40 box is reliable, but 2.4jtd territory, a heavy lump of a motor.

Yeah i have been looking into this, apparently the 2.0 later 159 also have the better gearbox and to be honest I was looking at the 2.0 anyway.

They reason this came up was because we saw and Alfa that we liked, however its in Europe and doesn't seem quite the bargain now. lol

I can't seem to find any photos of the car less than 2 years old. Must have some somewhere.

I also replaced the gearbox oil in the summer.

The amount of work I have put into the car makes me think we should keep it. TBH it was our place to keep the car and run it into the ground, but since I bought the Scooby the ZS has started to feel cramped. And the Scooby is too expensive to run as the everyday car...
