Most obvious question is, what did you buy it for?

If you have a mk2 then the underside, especially the fuel tank is a good place to start. Otherwise check the underside of your car and see if anything needs coating.

A good idea to wait until the car is dry otherwise you'll seal in the moisture. Try and clean off any rusty areas first also.

Depends on how big Jack is - be doubtful if it was Jack Dee and Jack Osborne.

(gotta be axle stands and/or ramps)

finnaly getting round to doing this is it worth me taking all my wheel arch liners of jet washing them all out then usuing a compressed to dry it all out and then spraying it in there

ive been looking at old 400 hundreads and they all seem to rust in the wheel arches so hopefully this will stop that

The rear wheel arches are a bit rot prone so I'd try and get some down the area between the inner and outer skins, if you take the side trims out of the boot you'll be able to see where I mean.

In the front wheel arch there is a mud trap at the bottom rear of where the liner sits, when you remove the liner you'll probably spot it your self.

btw Wax Oil is not the greatest of rust proofing products.

www.bilthamber.com are top products

Remove inside boot pannels and spray the wax oil down into the rear arch lip join, make sure the stuff is warm so it can flow down into all the moisture traps.

I do this myself on most cars, although when i did the ZS i used a sprayable grease that i used to use on my car wash chain (stops it rusting)

When i did my scooby, i borrowed a 2 post lift at a mates garage and basically coated everything bar the exhaust.
