most bodyshops will flat and polish their paint for retail standard.

you will most certainly need to as you will pick up airborne particles.

cost in 1500 grit, g3 and a good buffer.

If you don't have all this stuff, and need to buy a buffer as well, the bodyshop route may not cost much more.

After all the advice think I will just give the car to someone to do it. I know I get top quality work from him as he repaired a mondeo I had years ago. Finding time is the biggest problem I have.
