Woah, lucky you caught that before finding yourself in trouble somewhere! Mine had only a hairline crack and was already causing problems.

Bleeding is easiest with 2 people. Open bleed nipple, press down clutch pedal and hold, tighten bleed needle, then release clutch pedal. Repeat x1000 and all should done

Really stupid question but can this bracket be viewed once the bonnet is open? Would like to know if mine is ok.

Not really with out taking the air filter out or the tray from under the engine.

I welded my mates up and added some steel.

You can just about see the bracket as in the above picture, underneath the battery. But I don't think its easy to tell if its busted as the a tiny crack is all that's needed for the clutch action to fail. I believe it even flexes a little when its intact!
