The hatch back will do a bit better than the saloon as it has a better CD and is a bit lighter if my memory can be trusted? Also the saloon's extreme spoiler causes a lot more drag than hatch's extreme spoiler does. Also the front splitter would add drag but not by a large amount!!

There are 4.55 litres to a British gallon.
There are too many rounding up's in that calculation to make it acurate.
The fuel light may have flashed once but that is not an acurate way to judge how much fuel is in the tank.
The only way to do it is fill every tank to the brim.

Agreed the fuel gauge is a predictive one, I can make the gauge drop over 1/8th within less than a mile. If I ease up it will climb up again doesnt mean Ive gained fuel!
Gauge is only an indication rather than a actual level of fuel in the tank.
