DuckFeet is on a distinguished road
I think you'd regret it, but if you do get rid I'd try to get standard parts in p/x for your mods and sell it as standard.

I spend a lot of time in and around Modern and not so modern Classics and tbh they do have there place, but for me my 180 is the best drive!! Last weekend I drove an XR3I followed by my mates Talbut Sunbeam Lotus The XR3i is pants by ZS standards!! No ps, no power and no brakes to stop it!! It's what it is but I don't remember my old one being so bad? But what changes is our perception of what these cars used to be like. The ZS spoils us somewhat.
As for the Sunbeam Lotus? What can I say 235bhp with rear wheel drive and less than 1000Kg's !! It's quick as in a proper quick way!! Not so good in the bends as the Zed though !!

If it was a saloon, I'd be all over it!!!
Love a red zs and love mo's especially!!

Btw, escort rst would need a stage 2 turbo a decent single pass pro alloy or pace large fmic and about 23psi just to satisfy!

That = £££££ also, still mfi management, efi conversion is another 800 in parts and a lot of grazed knuckles!!!
