im looking for a 180 mk2 at the mo.....rang dealer car priced at 3000 they asked all usual questions came to conclusion that my car was worth 3500 wouldnt entertain a deal of any kind even me offering them to buy my car at reduced rate so i could have the mg zs

I would have thought a dealer would have been happy to have an MG off their hands, or perhaps thats just the ones local to me

you will easily get a MK2 180 for less than 3k. theres a mongram one on XPF and the guy only wants ?2300. might even be ?2100 now.

Hang on... they refused to basically straight swap an 05 fiesta for a mk2 ZS...

you think they would bite your hand off! not consider selling the fiesta privately? then you would probably get an even better deal buying the MG in cash.

I'm fairly sure that in the current climate if you were to stick a "Wanted" advert on the forums - Xpower - .org etc for a ZS180 Mk2 as a swap - you'd get a taker.

You could also list the Fiesta on pistonheads as it's free - and mention that you're after a ZS in PX.

Another option - and I've done this - is simply to email everyone selling their ZS180 on the aforementioned forums offering yours as a swap. If it was me selling - I'd rip your hand off even if only to sell the fiesta on as it'd sell more easily than the ZS.

Just my tuppence worth - Oh and the dealer must be a knob not to go for your Fiesta if they value it higher than the ZS.
