I might have them pipes on the spare engine I have here, I'll need to check under the tarp to see if they are okay.

Ha! I just purchased the Fat one from Seaward (same price as rimmerbrothers, but I can pick up at lunchtime)

And am going to use a small length of fuel hose (when I get some) to sort the smaller pip out

I would say the revs hunting is very likely to be down to the broken breather pipes as when i broke mine on the black zed the same thing happened

Expand and collapse? Is this going to make a difference? I'd have thought as long as they were relatively stable it would be fine otherwise fitting catchtanks with the extra dead space that they have would surely cause problems too?
Anyway I have some of that hose I linked to and will be trying it out when i get a moment (I like the blue) :-)

I replaced one on my old ZS that snapped with silicone and plastic connections, the OE ones are a poor design / material.
