Who had 3 months down then ?

My father in law has offered me a Met Grey 2008 "57" Ford focus Zetec "Climate" 115 TDCi which he literally doesn't use for £5K. (We buy any car valued it at £7250. Cheapest I can find private sale is £8K).

The condition is that I keep it for 2 years, so no, I can't take it and sell it.

After the exhaust gets done on Monday - the ZS will be for sale.

Not sure how I feel about it to be honest, but it's too good a deal and eminently sensible.

Missus has a Focus company car pretty much the same spec. I like it a lot but prefer the ZS, the focus goes quite well considering its only a 1.6 diesel.

How do you figure it's sensible lol?? It would be a bargain if you 'needed' a car but yer not. So you sell the ZS for the 4k odd but still have to put money to getting the focus which ye 'have' tae keep for 2 years, more than likely it will lose mair money or the same as the zs will over that period, then still have to put in the same money again to get another motor.......so how is it too good a deal to miss again, lost me

yeah not sure i would swap it imo.. if the guy doesn't use it, then he should sell it private for a lot more than he would be selling i to you, and then tell him to take a holiday on it or summit

i am honestly gobsmacked the rate you change your car - had mine for 6 years next month, and it is only my 3rd car!
