rolling road figures are highly inaccurate at the best of times because there are so many variables. Getting it on an engine dyno would be the only way of proving it properly

If that zed has a claimed 305 bhp the seller would be advertising the parts fitted and their subsequent costs and try to command a higher price. BS is all I can say at this time. QED spec'd builds would cost many thousands to achieve those figures and no mention about bigger brakes or an ATB to enable to use such power.

I find this bhp figure hard to swalow beacusehe says induction kit? I would have thought that at this leveel throttle bodies would be required to get that power? Also he mentions nothing about up rated clutch? or flywheel and these would be a must at that level of power!

Not really, depends how big the filter is. It's all about flow rate

If it's a Halfrauds £50 job then no, it won't work

I'd call BS, unless he puts a dyno plot on the auction.

even a dyno plot could be BS.. as they can be tweaked.

with the inlet fitted and the pics and price, its bollox.look at it logicly.

pistons are 800 quid plus
then u need cams at 500 quid plus
then u need after market ecu at 500 plus
then u need injectors at 400-500 plus (i have tested they wont run more than 260bhp)
then u need the fitting charge etc and a load more parts. its BS lucky if its making 195bhp

UPDATE!!

Looks like the buyer has revised his listing!

Lets recap....It started off with a 'buy it now' price of £2,745 with a claimed BHP of 305. I emailed to ask for what proof he had of power and he then said the last time it was on the rollers it was 286 BHP

Now its been revised and can be yours for a mere £1,500 but the BHP claim has gone down to 228 BHP

Is it me or is this guy just plucking random numbers out the air??
