[HOW TO] - Resolve a sticky Idle Control Valve (ICV) thread

Is there a chance someone could add photos with strategically placed arrows to the [HOW TO] - Resolve a sticky Idle Control Valve (ICV) thread. I don't have a bloody clue whats it's on about without pics! lol

R8NMG will become famous soon enough
There is a paper gasket under the ICV so becareful when you remove it. You might have to prise the gakset away to allow you to remove the ICV completely.

........only if removing the alloy housing.

The valve itself bolts cleanly to the perpendicular face and has an 'o' ring iirc. That is where the alignment is an issue as the location is very poor and that is where the valve can stick if not located in the housings countersink. Leaving the valve slightly loose on its fixings and then turning the ignition on will allow the valve seat to align, tighten fixings and start engine. It is only a basic solenoid with a return spring and shaft, the work is done by the tapered end face.
