Facelift Exhaust Heat Shield

Hi,
The previous owner of my Mk2 ZS sold the the metal trim-piece that attaches to the rear bumper just above the exhaust tailpipe. So I want to replace it, but the only ones I've found so far are either for Mk1's, aren't being split from the bumpers that they're attached to, or are going for stupidly high prices.
Can anyone help please?

Most ones on ebay don't have the rubber trim either, or the bolts which makes it a bit of a nightmare.

I have a complete unit for sale. That is the heatshield (which was for a hatch, but I believe is the same as the saloon one), the rubber backing seal, and all 4 bolts for ?42 posted. PM me if interested.

Thumbs up ZS exhaust heatshield trim

smc sell them on ebay, last time i looked about ?20!

tbh i did`nt bother with rubber backing when i did mine, i just whacked it straight on & got some stainless screws from my local woodcraft store & job done!

Aha, now that's looking a bit more like it - I can't believe a bit of bent metal is worth much (if any) more than that. After all it would have cost pennies to produce.
Who or what are smc though? I only know of a pneumatics company with that name, and when I put smc into eBay's search box, the main thing it chucks out is quad-bike bits!

Total cost on Rimmer Bros is ?54.58 for the complete kit including shipping.

smc (smc343 on ebay) have the plain heatshield for ?24.99 + ?3.50 shipping which is only marginally cheaper than rimmer bros for the heatshield without all the extra bits.

Depends if you want the whole lot or not really...
