Fobs on ebay

Why are people bidding on these, they appear to have no bar code with them.

Pete, these are in my watch list, its just to get the button bit.

My ones gone into holes.

If my brand new spare doesnt work, could it be down to the battery dying. I've put a new battery in and it will unlock the car but when I put the alarm on it sets it off and wont reset.

I swapped my old inners out and put them into the new fob and that seems to work. Although the immobiliser seemed to be on for the first few attempts to start. But that seems OK now.

Will it need a T4 to sort out the spare chip??? Thats after I have sorted the 3 buttons out!!

It might need a T4 Pete, there is no facility to re-synch the Pektron fobs like there used to be with the older 5as system.

It might be worth contacting Technozen to see if he can help.

I noticed when selling my casings that whole fobs were getting stupid bids, obviously because folk thought they would have an extra working fob. I always put in the description for my casings that the innards are worthless without a barcode as you cannot pair them to you car.
Now in saying that I am sure I have seen someone somewhere stating they can pair the newer fobs without barcode, I just cannot remember where?!

*edit* that seems to be for 2 fobs, so at £9 each so far they could still just be being treated as replacment casings as mine were going for that prices there, thereabouts
