Battery cable connections - help needed please

Can't tighten the positive connection on 2 of my ZS's properly

Can easily just pull it off which I don't think is a good thing....

Wouldn't mind replacing them to be honest as 11 year old cables ain't gonna be perfect now, same with negative one, it tightens but not 100%

any ideas....

the terminal on the battery is tapered, undo your connection a bit and hammer it down as far as it can go, should tighten up then

As above, they're tapered so you can end up tightening the nut, but the connector is still loose.

it looks to me like its the bit on the bottom of the connector that twists, should this be perfectly square on the bottom?

will have another look, but it does sit on the top of the terminal, not low down
