Electric windows

I know this is a BIG ask as parts are rare but if you dont ask you dont get, so i really want to convert my rear windows into electric now as my Son now loves having his window open (like Daddy) to enjoy the breeze (and hear the lovely sound as we go down the road) but unfortunately is still too small to be able to reach the winders.
If anyone has all the required parts to do this conversion including the front switches & isolator switch I would be interested to hear back.

Craig

Adamzs180 will become famous soon enough
Depending on how soon you need the parts i will have a full set of front electric windows. as i'll be replacing them with perspex ones for my track car at some point.

No need to switch them on at the ecu in the mk1, possibly the mk2?

You may have to add the wiring on an early mk1 like I did on my '51.

My 51 was allready wired for them.

I was door handle raiding last night and there was dozens of r45's with rear elec'e windows.

"Door handle raiding"!

Thing is, I know exactly what you mean.

We should start making the official rendezvous points of local meets the nearest scrappy, seeing as we spend so much time plundering them for bits!

I've become known as "Mr.Rover-man" at my local one - I don't even have to ask before they point me in the direction of any new ones that have arrived fresh for the scavenging.

TC & Wasa are spot-on though: the only wiring that you need should be the short looms that handle the window and the central locking in each rear door. No programming should be necessary for a Mk1, and R45's use exactly the same bits.

Thanks guys for all the advice on this, I will speak to my mate then as he has just informed me that his now track car has / had rear electrics and no longer needs them so may well see if I can do a swap with my rears for his then if it's a straight switch & wire connect (plug & play) conversion.
Mine out of interest is a 52 plate so not an early one if there was / is ecu switching needed?
I will start with tht and see how it goes, if I can't go down that route of using his I guess it's breakers here we come lol.
Thanks for the help

Only issue with the door cards is theyre different trim so wont match which is why was just going to swap handles.
Have a nice little component set which the tweeter is the perfect size for the exsisting winder hole so shoulnt look too bad when all sorted.
