I mean if its well looked after, alcantara interior, and as he says has been serviced then I think £1800-£2k may still be a little pricey, considering the price of others around I mean a dealer wants £1900 for this one http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/vie...841&cmd=VIDESC

And I thought that was a bit pricey lately :/

Thats the worst ad I have seen and tbh sounds a little dodgy. or he really knows nothing about the turbos which would also worry me of how well it has been looked after.

i bought this yesterday on whole the cars in good order but is seriously down on power. I didn't pay full asking price for it due to the description not saying any thing about the rear screen not being fitted properly which blew out the back of the car on the a1m at Peterborough. made spectacular viewing for my mate who was following me. its still on standard rover 400 suspension which is tired.
nice lad who sold it to me but he didn't know anything about the car.
i will get it in the workshop this week and treat it to a service and see if we can get it back up to 200bhp again. any suggestions on the dump valve its located where the standard one is but seems to dump at about 2300rpm.

2300rpm is about the point a T25 starts to make useful boost, it sounds like the diaphragm may be split, possibly combined with a weak spring, I think forge do the diaphragm and spring, or have a search on ebay.

I had a similar thing with the vitesse when I had my dump valve fitted. I could actually hear a slight dump when doing the 3 point turn. Turned out to be a slight tear in the diaphram. I used the diaprgam from the original rover DV which fitted and work perfectly.

Looking forward to see this come back to life too.
