ZS180 British Racing Green. A long road ahead

Hello everyone, so glad to finally get my arse in gear and create a build/progress thread for my beloved MG

She is called Yahtzee

The only modification i have at the moment is a Piper stainless steel cat-back exhaust system and some White 17" straights. But oh my god does it make me smile!!

I do have a few Engine dress up bits to show but i will have to get some pictures next tommorow

Oh me and a mate brilliantly bodged the plastic breather T piece that notoriously shatters like my nans Sunday crockery

More updates soon!!

Very nice, they look great in British racing green. What are your plans with it?

Well id really like to have her stripped out and all race ready, but you have to start small i think!

Thinking about some Hubcentric spacers, maybe 10mm. depends if the tyres will contact the arch. just think it needs a little wider track and a bit more aggression.

A big dream of mine is to take her to places like Castle Combe to meet some of you guys and at least make it round a track

Absolutely no reason why you couldn't track it as it is now. Many say they go round a track better standard than if they are "semi modified".
Adding spacers etc may make it look good but they wont do anything beneficial for the handling and will likely make it worse. Fine if its all about show but if you ultimately want to track it then avoid any "stance" type mods I recon. Spend the money on a track day instead. Be careful though, its addictive

NEW UPDATE! Auto Test BAE Systems car park IOW

Took Yahtzee out for run in the local Car Club event at BAE systems car park.

The course was tight and was a lot of fun even if i did get whopped by many tiny MX5's

So here's some pictures of the day. Enjoy

And here are the results! Not bad for a big 4 door :P excuses excuses!!. This puts me 4th overall in my class for Tarmac events (Sealed surface) out of 19 other drivers, not bad!!

I will try and get to every event but the rear Hub bearing is giving up so might have to fix that first!

Love these cars, they are so underrated, that's a good thing! Saves them from the hands on knobs/stereotyping.
