So, as shown above, I have been working on some custom led lighting for the taillights of the car. Because of teaching, new tech job, personal life and all that fun stuff, I have had to work at it slowly these past few weeks.

But I am pleased to announce that Phase 1 is done!!! Here are the pics:



From top to bottom: Brake lights, Signals, Reverse lights



All that soldering...eventually thought I would go cross-eyed!!!

So basically, the turn signals and reverse lights will come on as a full block. The brake lights however will have two stages. When you turn on the side lights or dipped beams, the top row of leds going all the way around and to the bottom will turn on. (it will look something like /----- -----\ . And then when the brake light is pressed, the rest will turn on. Hopefully I can get some pictures of them lit up soon because I can do that and take pictures at the same time because I dont have enough hands!

Good stuff veroboard, you have been a busy chap! Are the intentions to use the current lenses? I fear you might have made a rod for your own back here if it works as good as it sounds, people will be pestering you for some!
