180 owners - talk to me!
I'm considering potentially swapping my ZS 120 for a Trophy blue 180 hatch - the car belongs to a friend of mine. He bought the V6 for his wife, who didn't like it, so it's surplus to requirements.
He's got a bit of a collection and I'm told the car is in good order, I've no reason to distrust him. It's at 99k, belts were done at 95k.
Having not owned a V6 I guess I'm just looking for a bit of feedback from V6 owners, I've driven in, and ridden in some great 180s and kind of think it's now or never for one...

If you can afford to run a 180 then don't question it, buy it.

Having owned both I can say the 180s are a lot more fun to drive. Especially after a few mods. The V6s are a pretty lazy lump and so easy to drive at low speed but pick up much quicker from lower revs so you don't have to rev them like the 120 to get any power out the thing.
Only thing against them is running costs. Take it for a test drive and judge for yourself.

I've had my 180 for nearly 9 years, says it all really, do it. Addictive cars and only those that have driven them will know why, basic mods make it more worthwhile.

Get it swapped if you can afford the running costs as people say. Totally worth it!

To be fair, the running costs aren't that bad.
I commute 20 miles (10 each way) in my 180 through urban traffic. Last week, did this four times (80 miles) plus another 80 miles motorway and some other small trips and it took £40 of petrol, about 25mpg.
