anyone know GN02 CVS? owned by James Cameron

not the film director!

GN02 CVS, a silver mk1 hatch. Located east kent, deal/walmer/ramsgate area.

The car had some mods done, we suspect piper cams and verniers, maybe even some gearbox mods.

Simply after some more info on any mods that were done if anyone knows of the car or the owner who owned it from near (2004) new to 2009.

This one ....

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MG-ZS-180-...p2047675.l2557

I went to see it when it was for sale a while ago. Turned up on the estate in Braintree Essex - seller had a tin on the go - shorts on - no top - total dog of a car. Shocks were gone - grinding noise when driven. Test drive took me all of 30 seconds before I left. Quite fancied it form the right up.

yes, it is certainly has some cosmetic issues, but it is a car with piper cams sheddist and verniers, you can not get verniers any more, and it may well have some gearbox mods, but as yet unsure.
You wouldn't buy it for a daily drive and in my opinion is not worth trying to make good, but as an engine spares package/breaker it does have some advantages.

If any one knows anything about it from the 2006-2009 era in terms of mods, this is what I would like to know, it may save pulling the gearbox to bits to find out the ratios, rumour has it it may have the rare 1.75 2nd gear cog?

Any pg1 box where the third letter in the code is B,K, or L has the 1.75 2nd gear ratio.

i think its a Frankenstein box, with various ratios, so any letters on the case will likely be redundant

It also sounds as if most of the mods are gone it did have a full system on it, janspeed manifolds, collector, decat and a 3 1/2" tail pipe....It does indeed have the pipercams and verniers and the car should have the receipts with it to prove, I also sold it with 3 folders full of service history etc, it also has Koni coilovers which were fully adjustable, I sold this car less than 2 years ago and the gearbox was standard then.
It also looks that the inner wing induction setup has gone
This car (when I had it) went like a train...worse thing I ever done was sell it
