I saw a mint Lotus Carlton at a show not too long ago it was beautiful. A few people there thought it might be pushing £30k worth.

Always liked the lotus Carlton. Always thought the ford Granada was a poor attempt but still got a bit of 90's rep

And me. There were some great ones on for the love of cars. Makes me think the Mk2 ZS 180 could be a future classic due to the incredibly low numbers. Only 6876 180s ever made, probably less than 1000 of those were MK2s. How many of them could still be on the road?

They were - apart from the 24v Cosworth. When I did a driving course in the early 90s we used 827 Rovers. The instructors in the chase cars always had the Granada. Basically because when we maxxed out the 827, and they decided the "follow" was over, they could pull alongside ..... match our speed ..... give us a swap signal and basically leave us. They had an indicated 165 out of it.

It was pretty much the same thing when I did the bike course. The students were on K75 BMWs and the instructors on Pan Europeans. We'd max them out and the instructor would come alongside, give directions then fall back, or give a follow me signal and be off ....
