Best engine flush products out there.
After adding some of that hydraulic lifter stuff in with the oil its made little if any effect only done 200 miles or so, but was thinking of giving it a good flush and then starting again with hopefully a clean system.
What have people used before and had results with? The Forte one seems to be the best known.
Alittle unsure about putting anything other than oil in the engine to be honest but if it works then happy days!

Some will run for a while on diesel oil mate, it has detergents in it anyway and can help clena out your engine, then after a few weeks drain and refill with correct oil

Yer Pete mentioned that before, but dont really want to do 3 oil changes in six months! If I can drop something in for 10-15 mins in the current oil then change it would be better.
But its an option.

think i put wynns in mine after a wee run with the engine already up to temp, put it in n ran it at fast idle(about 1500 2000(just tightened the throttle) n left it running for 20 minutes, stopped then changed the oil and filter while it was roasting hot so all the oil drained out mega quick, then i put fresh oil in, on the zr when it had the headgasket away i did that 3 times and now its done 2000 miles i think itll be due another

Can you adjust the Idle on the 180? As mine seems to idle a little low but maybe thats to do with the cams

ehm i think through t4 yes, like the actual idle control side like if your getting a vibration at idle you can change it slightly, i just meant i tightened the cable so the actual butterfly was slightly open to save me sitting there 20 minutes with my foot on the throttle, which you can do on the 180 but not for everyday

Ok cheers Richy, Having thought about it maybe the derv oil is a better way to go as it will clean it at a slower rate not knowing for sure how many miles the engine has done it may be a better bet.
