MK1 straights don't suit it, question as to why the originals are not on it. Tyres look wrong too, profile looks too high. Might be me as mine are like o-rings!

They could have been the original wheels. When I bought my mk2 it had the kit and straights fitted. I've heard a lot of people call them mk 1 wheels but they were available as an optional extra all the way through the range.

I've also heard that when MGR started to go under they just put whatever they had lying around on the cars.

Mk1 wheels on a mk2 with the 180 bodykit is visually wrong as the mk2 alloys were dimensionally different in width in order to fill the arch extensions. But I guess there were other wheel options if you did not have the 180 bodykit fitted.

I agree mate. They did sit too far into the arches. All I'm saying is that 11 spoke weren't always fitted with the kit, although usually that was the case.

Offer him Parkers guide price.

Parkers price is ?1280 for a good condition private. Ok it does have the kit so it's probably worth a little more

Say its got the wrong wheels, and the bumper will cost ?250 to put right!!

could well be the proper wheels, some came with the mk1 straights like Marcus's and Rosszr's old one
