Timing Belt and water pump done found a fantastic bracket in the garage that locked the flywheel superbly and after that I was on a role. Topped up the coolent and put back the starter and the battery and - Walla! started first time! woohoo. Brought up to temperature and checked coolent level and checked for leaks round new water pump. All ok. Kept an eye on the belt and tensioner which the tensioner moved slightly but after a while running - gave it plenty of rev's and seems to be fine. Not had her out on the road yet as she is currently burried in the driveway under a tone of flemmin snow! Pic's to follow. Phew what a couple of day's!

Did you time it up, then rotate the crank twice (with engine off) then readjust the tensioner? then rotate twice and see if the tensioner has moved again? Then recheck the timing?

If not, I bet your timing is now 1 tooth out
