Throttle bodies are exactly the same.

Dave

The cams might not be 'racing cams' as such with bigger lift and longer duration, but with possibly a shorter overlap to help with low - rpm power?

I think the theory is that with the ZT being a bigger car the timing was different to give better torque.

Something I'm having checked when my timing belt is replaced, as I think my timing is slightly out - as last rolling road day KevG got more power than me with almost identical mods. Apparently the timing margin for error on the KV6 was 10% either way, so that could potentially be causing the drop

The timing on a kv6 is very very rarely spot on, either half a tooth either way. its basicly impossible to do it 100% for some reason. some have been known to be timed up as 160 zt's.

Lots needs to be taking into consideration for rollers, each car is different, and engines different also, but things that would affect the rollers are, tyres, tyre pressure, gearbox oil etc.

The KV6 ZT runs the same cams as the ZS, the air intake on the ZT is a lot better than a STD zs, also the injectors run slightly different, but the main thing is the map being different to the zs.

The ZT190 does have different cams. The ZT180 (KV6 sports auto) & ZT160 (2.0L KV6) use the same cams as the ZS180.

The timing tools for the 180, 190 and 2.0l all seem to be different

and i thought 160 zt's were 1.8 turbos?

Some of the ZT160s are 1.8T K4s and some are 2.0L KV6s. Confusing, I know.

the zt 160 is either a 1.8T or a 2.5 v6. the 180 and 190 are both 2.5 v6. the difference between the 160 v6 and 190 v6 is the cams and the mapping of the engine

the 160 v6 is a 2.0l,

tbh most people seem to have an opinion rather than an answer
