Removing VIS Motors

My car has been feeling a little slower recently and sometimes not giving the kick above 3000 rpm

I was going to remove the two vis motors and inspect them to see if any of the solder joints have fractured

Is there anything i have to be careful with if i remove them?

also is it ok to unplug them both and drive without them just to see if it makes a difference?

the power vis is a doddle to remove, just unplug, unscrew and carefully pull from the housing, when replacing just make sure the lever sits correctly. the balance one is a bit of an arse to get out due to the brake reservoir being in the way of some of the screws, if you find an easy way let me know as i haven't tried removing it for fear of rounding the screws. as to running with them unplugged i am not too sure about that

You can run it without, it will be just like running an 800 KV6, down on power.
