car passed mot....

today and while the had it i asked them to check wher the slight oil leak is coming from they called me and said it looks like its coming from the corner of the head but the car is holding its water and never over heated.... any advice ion what to do

I would guess more cam cover then head otherwise there would be more issues other than oil.

Keep on checking the oil levels!!!!

Sounds expensive to strip it down, if it is just a cam cover gasket.

Is it just a weep, or do you get a pool of oil????

slight drips only notice it when it wet on the ground

head was done this time last year with a reconed head 2

Might be worth a sniff test, just to make sure its not a head gasket problem.

Or a pressure test, will the guy that did the original work, have a look to check its nothing he did???

its the garage that told me that did the head last year im not happy at all at the moment

just had a look under the bonnet and in no way am i mechanical but ther looks to be oil on top of the exhaust mani fold and across the lip their

1.6 K series not sure on oil leaks, from pipes etc.

Might be worth PM'ing Zred or one of the Head Gasket guys, like Rover Solutions, Russell. Might be able to point you to a known weakness.

on a plus side the car passed its mot 4th time running no advisorys apart from no washers on head lights for my hid's
