have accepted the £6500 but waiting to finalise. Mine is an exceptional model with the amount thats been spent. The description only describes a fraction of how much has been done to this car

money spent and modifications dont add any thing price wise to car car. if any thing it de-values it a bit as some people dont want a modified car therefore lowers the potential numbers of buyers. the only car i have had trouble selling was my modified rover 3 years back. congrats on getting what you wanted though

I agree that modifications limits the number of potential buyers but I disagree that it devalues a car.

You said yourself my type of car went for 3.5k, yet I've had an offer of £6500.

I think that says it all

£6500 is an extremely good price by today's standards, well done that man! Hopefully we'll see the prices rise then

I think you should read my description again if you think the person hasn't been doing their homework. 204bhp from a nasp ZS 180 and over £5000 spent and thats not adding up the servicing and labour costs for all the fitting. It's been modified as far as it can be without going the route of a supercharger or DTA ECU. You keep quoting glass's guide figures for a standard car but mine isn't!

Still I'll see whether this forum member goes through with the purchase. If after a couple of months it's not sold, it'll be handed back to the finance company which will be a shame with all the modifications that will go with it!

Depends on the buyer. If the buyer was looking for a 180 & wanting to do the mods this car has it;s saved him in the long run

If the car's as good as the seller says and the buyer fancied the mods ... you make a fair point and you could even say it's a bargain.

For me though, I'd say that if I was going to buy a car and then modify it, I'd be overseeing the mods myself and doing them as I wanted them. Anyhow ...If it goes through there should be a satisfied buyer and seller. Everyone's happy.

good point....or the seller could sell the existing mods and replace them with their own choice. You'd get a lot more money selling a janspeed system on ebay than you would an oe MGR system for example.
