How much rpm?

I realised that only occasionally do I wind the rpm north 3000/4000 rpm.. I deliberately held the gears a couple of times on my way home from work, as far as 5kish in 2nd & 3rd, & was pleasantly reminded that the ZS180 is a reasonably rapid car.

*Quick question, what does MG stand for? Guy asked me at work, couldn't think..other than Morris Group?
I realise Google is my friend, but its sometimes nicer to ask enthusiasts, & start a debate/conversation.

They have a redline and a rev limiter for a reason, might as well use it

I'm going to be pedantic and say that MG stands for itself, Cecil Kimber named his company out of respect to William Morris, where Kimber was employed at Morris Garages in Oxford.
