Broken KV6 Inlet Manifold

After a knackered manifold.

Want to take the VIS apart and get my head around it and try and come up with a viable solotion

To fix it to make it a properly functioning unit.

i want to take one apart, understand how they work. just cant do it to mine as i need the car as a daily runner

I see, as a guide Sheddist of clutch kit fame tried to develop a better solution for the plastic and nylon butterfly valves and linkages, and gave up as nothing viable seemed possible, I recall he was thinking of remaking the parts in metal.

He did finish one and i think Turbo Zed from XPF had it. But it took so long to make one that it wasnt worth the effort.

I saw it working on his bench, it had brass ball and socket fittings in there and he couldnt get an off the shelf size so had to do a fair amount of fettling. Plus he said everyone was slightly diffferent due to wear so each one would be a bespoke fit.

Rather than butterflies what about a single? plate with 6 holes in it that slid back and forth, basically closing the intakes by covering them over? Dunno like, just a thought lol

you'd be better off fitting the old rover 800 manifold, better design and no vis issues.
