Black model badges

When I got my car it the ZS badge in black, and recently saw a ZR with the black ZR badge on it the other day...
Is there any special significance in these or is it just aftermarket badges?

I think it was the non-plus spec models which got the black badge. No 180s came with a black badge and I think a silver badge may have been an option for the entry level models

I put black ones on my silver mk2 as I had a silver and black theme going on. Personal choice thing I guess.

Black badges were used on the base model.
