Clutch Pedal

New to owning a ZS180, but I do have one question.

I have on occassions rested my foot on the clutch pedal and felt it give way beneath my foot - also on occassions it will not go into gear but releasing the pedal and depressing it again allows it to go into gear really easily.

Do I have a problem and if so is it an expensive repair?

If you still have the OE clutch slave then you may have a flexing slave cylinder bracket. Best thing to do is check the whole system from the pedal box to the gearbox, get someone to depress the pedal and watch the action of the slave arm. If it is the slave cylinder and bracket there are uprated kits available. See if there is anyone near to you that could take a look?

Welcome btw!

Agree, that's what it sounds like, would get it looked at pronto before the pedal goes to the floor and doesn't come back up.

Hi and welcome to the forum

The clutch is one of the weak points on the ZS180, the replacement solutions work well.
