Trial fitted the grille this afternoon:

I'm not very happy with the colour match, it looks fine in the pics, but in the metal you can see it's not right. I need to find somewhere I can actually buy Copperleaf rather than the crap 'one colour matches all' stuff I had to buy. Plus it makes me keen to get rid of the chrome inserts and get my straights on ASAP!

Thanks for that mate. I'm going to leave the grille as it is for the moment, I may decide to have the front bumper painted anyway, since it's got a couple of scrapes in it, and if I'm having the bumper sprayed I can always get the grille done too.

Might end up chucking on a few more bits tomorrow. Can't decide to change the wheels now or after MoT. I know I probably need new tyres for my 17"s but also know the wheels on it might get through a test, so I could spread the cost. Hmm....

Been having a bit more of a play, today:

First of all I removed all the Rover badges from the car, as well as the dealer sticker on the boot, and fitted the new MG and ZS badges:

Then I wanted to fit my 17"s. The Rover alloys had knackered tyres, so I decided I may was well swap them and get new tyres fitted to my 17"s when it goes for MoT.

First of all though I had to unwrap the unused, unopened tool kit! Just goes to show how pampered the car was!

Just having the alloys on makes a huge difference IMO:

I've also fitted one ZS rub strip as I've only got one so far!

Exterior mods done for the day I switched my focus to the interior:

Fitted an MG wheel and airbag (the Rover one was plastic!) swapped the dash trim (managed to break the passenger side airvent-eBay here I come!) and also swapped the gearshift surround and gaiter, fitting my XPower gearknob at the same time. Couldn't do the heater surround since I need to remove the Rover CD player to swap the heater surround for my technical finish one. Next plan will be to swap the dial faces etc. for the MG ones Taphouse sent me...

Still loads to do but I feel it looks an awful lot better already, and I'm enjoying doing bits to it. Just need to lose the beige interior!
