Since restyling the dash I'm left with a hole where my faulty air /fuel gauge was so thought of fitting a vacuum gauge and wondered where to tap into in the engine bay ..What pipe ??? .Would rather have a practical gauge than a just for looks and used to have vacuum gauges in the coopers which could monitor performance .

You'd most likely need to T into one of the breather pipes which are open to vacuum
