yup 45 and the old shape honda civic(same as zs) not sure about 25 and zr ones they may be the same but not 100%

they dont usually go due to the cold, usually the bearing wear out, or they go stiff(usually heater resistor will go down first in that case), or the brushes, and not so much on the zs but lieks of the 3 series, one coil goes down internally in the motor so if the fan stops in a certain place it can't start, turn it a little and it'll go again

perhaps something stuck in it or the bearing may be a bit dry, hmm, maybe some silicone spray grease

just off to buy a couple of fuses if it isnt the fuse is this the offending item i should be looking to buy. And is it behind the glove box like the resister.

yea its on the left at the end of the piping that the resistor is on.

have you got a testlamp? if you put the fan on and probe the connector it should light up(also a mutimeter set to 20volts setting)

ive just put a new fuse in and its blown it straight away. i will leave it now till the weekend
