No need for the ; if you had took the time to read my posts i had already stated that the MK1 is better screwed together and feels more substantial and that it is a nice design in it's own right.
My statement that a MK2 should command a higher price than a MK1 is 100% true - FACT it's better equipped, FACT it's rarer, FACT it's newer, it's not a derogetory comment just a simple logical truth.
And if you can find any rust under my MK2 you can keep it. There is no rust, i was underneath it the other day when it was on ramps !

Like i said, if you can find rust under it it's yours - the reason i know there's no rust is because i've personaly wax-oiled it and prepared it thoroughly before i did it !

If you're going to change to a MK1 I suggest that you either look for an early one with the wood trim on the door (if that's what you're into) or a late 2002 onwards one (make sure that it has the coil packs on the front bank of spark plugs, not in the V).

i completly agree its very hard to understand what somebody says in writing. mabye we should all get a phone when we sigh up to this site!!
