Time to give up on this ZS i think

I so love the ZS the engine is sound but im just having problems with the SCU i think its now time to say enough is enough,The front washers stopped working two days after the mot the back washers stopped working last year so did the horn,This SCU is a nightmare.

Im now liking the Hyundai i30 CRDI Premium,So it will be a break from Rover/MG.

Shame, would a soggy sounder do this?????

Or just swap SCU's or isnt it as easy as it sounds???

Hope it all goes well, whatever you decide.

Sad to see mate. I have had constant problems with all my ZS's, even my current mk1 ans mk2....But I take them out for a spin and realise that I wont find the same fun for the money elsewhere so fix it and carry on lol!

Took the soggy sounder out last summer as that was why my alarm was having its own mind,That was a nice simply fix,But the SCU is not as simple if i get a new one then it has to be coded to the car,Not cheap so im told.

The thing i fear is if i get another SCU it could happen again,Its not a old car so shouldn't really be having faults wit the SCU.

Cheers.

Have a word with rovermgparts or GeA Services, they might have a good deal on SCU's.

All beyond me I'm afraid.

Why not fix the scu you have with the relay units found on ebay?

That way it doesnt need recoding and if you are a bit of a diyer you can do the fix yourself !
