Reminds me when our apprentice just had to have Snap on tool boxes, cost him £2000 odd, Halfords had the same thing for about a 1/10th of the price.

I know the quality is 10 x better and if it breaks they replace it, but on his wages hate to think how long he was tied into the weekly pay back plan.

I blame it on the F1 car garages, with all the snap on tool boxes sitting there!!!

It's a badge thing, that's all. Years ago I had an account and bought what I needed to do the job. Back then there were very few other quality options. Today I buy what I need to do the job, if it's a one shot job I buy cheap and if it breaks I throw it away. If it is something I will use several times then I buy a decent brand or quality.

Halfords do a lifetime guarantee on there advanced range.
Bits break you take them back and they replace them.
