MGZS's racing on TV

Motors TV today had club racing live from Mallory park on. Couple of MGZS's racing and actually stealing a fair bit of coverage. Some great racing very very close too. Thoroughly enjoyed watching it and made a change form F1 or BTCC.

not sure never tried. the two ZS drivers were Ashley Woodward who drove a superb race and was featured quite heavily due to some very close racing with a Mk1 Escort and Peter Burchill who was a tad unlucky with some damage that looked like a tyre rubbing on the bodywork. There was also a ZR in the race under Ashleys racing colours but didn't feature much.

An odd class of cars from a Ginetta G50, loads of Jags, MK1 Escorts, an old school Mini Cooper a Vauxhall Tiger I think may have been a Hillman, but some very close racing all round.

also on the venue were Metros, Legends and old formula Fords and MG midgets. Probably some of the best racing I've seen in a long time

Just watched the FF's and Metros, it's like back to the eighties.

The 80's and 90's had the best cars and the best races ... Shame I missed most off them

pete and ash both race in the cockshoot cup.

ash runs with the ultra close ratio quaife box.

I think they came 1,2 at a wet croft on last race.

ash came 3rd at donn the race before.

they are up against the 190 ZR's and le500's, so this is quite an achievement for the heavier zs.

since found out Peter lost an oil pipe. Yes seen them both doing the Cockshoot but this was something like a mixed old BTCC cars. Very odd mix of cars. Peter was struggling with slicks but Ashley's novice sticker looks like it needs to be removed, he drove like a pro.

It was an allcomers race, which means you can enter anything to race
