I love it when people call me at 3 AM. "Hey, you asleep?" "No, I'm skydiving."

Cheers!

Also got the okay from the Finance Director to be released early so I can start at the new company as they hoped I could start sooner to take control. At least the redundancy is not affected. Things are now falling into place.

It did in the end grimmy. But was prepared to rely on it if I had to, so it'll be used to pay off a few things and get a new front door and garage door! The bank may think my employer has screwed the wages up when that goes in!

The missus said treat yourself, its your hard earned money! I said hmmm nitrous!

congratulations - really pleased that it has worked out in the end - the old adage of every cloud has a silver lining and all that.

as for the money - I'd either spend it on something I wasn't likely to ever spend it on otherwise that is a bit frivolous, or pay off other stuff that will enable the first option to be done at some other point down the line

either way nice position to be in, back in a field you prefer, with a better wage and package with bonus money in the back as a result of changing job!
