Just been looking at that, says its been kept in a garage... a garage with no roof maybe, looks a right mess. Have you seen the state of the flywheel and input shaft of the gearbox- they look like they have been at the bottom of the sea!
Some interesting parts on it though, looks like its got the old Rover 800 alloy inlet manifold with custom adapter to convert the double intake to single. Even getting the VIS system to work would be a challenge!
Hell of a lot of work for 250 hp and sod all torque although it would be pretty unique I suppose.

It would take a lot of work to make that a practical working unit in a zs, and quite a few £££, for that sort of outlay I'd want to be well north of 300 bhp

That outlet from the charger looks tiny compared to the TB
Interesting that it has forged Pistons if they'd drop in a 2.5 would be good.

But as you say Phil, 155ftlb 5400rpm with a charger isn't what I'd expect when a 180 is quoted at 177ftlb at 4000rpm

Guessed it was a known seller to us, its the location, a dead giveaway! Tempted purely for the historical part but hardly a unit that would hide in the corner of ones garage!

155lb/ft at 5252 is 155bhp, even if it does the same 155lb/ft at 6900rpm, its only 200hp.
at 100hp/ltr, a good nasp setup could acheive that.
