180 cat and coupler
My cat is fine, but the wire mesh over the coupling pipe has all frayed so I want to replace the pipe as a whole.
Any one who has upgraded to a race cat, may be able to help with their old cat pipe section
Cheers

What's the pint of the braided piece anyway...? Mine is loose and 1 end and i've never bothered with it is it doesn't appear to do much (if anything) at all.

The one I took off was the same, it doesn't do anything from what I can see unless the braid gives flexibility but stops any elongation of the bellows section perhaps?

From what I understand the manifolds move with the engine, so the flexi pipe takes up this movement.

We know that, the question was the braided section, not the bellows section. The bellows gives it compliance whereas braid normally tightens up the movement to prevent over-stretching imo.
