Smile Heater fan resistor pack supplier

Just read the 'How To' and I was pleased to find it's an easy fix but where do I get the pack from? Does anyone have an order number please?

Many thanks,

CBB

or for ?1.50 you go to maplins and replace the lot with some yourself.... rather than buying a reday prepared one.

I had to swap out 2 of my resitors since the OE coil failed, so still has been cheaper than buying a replacement on the bay or the like...

and i think i had to replace ones cos my soldering is appaling and i think one shorted

New pack arrived yesterday & I fitted it last night, one of the simplest jobs I've done a car, done in 5 min!

Now the fan is fixed at low speed I noticed the when spinning up there is a slight squeak & the fan is quite noisy as if a bearing in the motor might be worn which could possibly explain the coil burning out. Think I'll pick up a new fan motor after Christmas.

Looking at the receipts I got with the car I saw that the last owner paid a garage ?47.50 + VAT to have the resistor pack repaired!

Thanks again for the help.
