Some ****er keyed my car
Yup, someone keyed the bonnet on the ZS last night, nice deep scratch too. I had the bonnet and wings resprayed only a few months ago and now it's trashed. I'm so angry about it, why do it? I'm now thinking need to get it repaired but should I spend out more money just for someone to do it again? I don't know what to do.

Rang the police and got a crime number, and my insurer offers vandalism cover, I'll have to pay the excess, but won't lose my no-claims. Still damn annoying.

instead of getting the whole bonnet sprayed have a go at doing the scratch your self:
get you touch up pen and using a cocktail stick instead of the brush fill the scratch in slowly, once the paint has gone off get some 2500 grit sand paper and just concentrate on flatting down the scratch, once the paint is all level polish back with a polish with a cut in it, something like auto glym super resin polish

Little Sh*ts! probably is kids with the kind of parents who would find it funny, the little gits need a good smack round the head and then thrown into the army for good measure, then you would see them cry for their mummys!

+1 You really have nothing to loose, screw it up and then get it resprayed I found that scratch X stuff pretty good before a final SRP more abrasive and will save time.
Gutted for you theres just no need for it

I remember when I had my Saab. Just spent £300 on getting various body bits sprayed, bonnet, front bumper, rear bumper, side skirts, mirrors etc. That very night when I got it back some dense tart walked on the bonnet in her stilletos and scratched it to oblivion.
Always the way mate! Sorry to hear it.

Sorry to hear about your car. Chipsaway quoted me £80 a panel 2 weeks ago, same colour car as yours. Used them before for the mk1 and they done a great job. They repair only the scratch so well you wouldn't know it was there.
