Courier recommendation and gearbox dimensions

Need a gearbox picked up and brought to me and I'm thinking it'll need palleted.
This the case?
What are dimensions or does it not matter on a pallet just the weight?

PG1 is 38 Kg dry, I sent one in a plastic crate.

Don't know what the seller will be able to put it in tbh though he may be able to.
I have plastic crates in my shed full of bits but thats no good!
Does the pallet delivery company provide the pallet?

Most if not all would expect the shipper to have the item ready for collection.

As above, you'll need to provide your own pallet.

You could try Paisley Freight for a quote.

Any pallet company will provide a pallet for roughly £6. You'll then pay roughly the same again for them to strap it. Pallet shipping is overkill and will cost you a lot more.

Wrap it in a black bag or similar, use paisley freight to collect and it'll cost less than £40

Anyone know the H/W/D of the box? The fella was gonna measure it today but hasn't got back to me and it's needed for the freight quote.
